A roller blind can sit quietly within a room while doing important work with light and privacy. Tempo Interiors helps Sydney homeowners choose roller blinds around the outlook, orientation and everyday use of each window.

Choose fabric for more than colour

Sheer, screen, privacy and blockout fabrics create different results. Consider whether you want to preserve a view, soften bright daylight or darken a room. Daytime privacy and night-time privacy are different questions: a fabric that screens the interior in daylight may not do so when the lights are on inside.

Room darkening depends on the whole installation

Blockout describes the fabric, not a guarantee that no light will enter the room. Edge gaps, mounting position and surrounding surfaces also matter. If sleep, television glare or a street-facing window is the priority, discuss it before selecting the fabric and system.

Fit and operation

The available recess, window handles and adjacent doors can influence how the blind is fitted. Manual, linked and motorised arrangements may be available depending on the selected system. For a wide opening or a group of windows, consider whether independent or coordinated operation would be more useful.

Layer for a more flexible room

A roller blind can be considered alongside curtains when you want different levels of privacy and softness at different times. Plan both treatments together so their brackets, tracks and stacking space do not interfere with one another.

Discuss your windows with Tempo

Bring photographs, approximate dimensions and a description of when the room feels too bright or exposed. Our Mosman studio is a place to compare the visual direction and discuss practical requirements before the final measure and specification.

Arrange a window furnishings consultation

Contact Tempo Interiors to discuss a window-treatment quotation. Confirm consultation and measuring arrangements, any fees, and the proposed supply and installation scope before booking. Interior design consultations are paid.
